Dr Anne Murray
Dr Murray was born in Newcastle. Her growing up years were spent in Newcastle and rural areas in North West NSW near Narrabri. She completed her secondary education in Newcastle and went on to complete a Bachelor of Science, with honours (BSC, Hons), at Newcastle University with a double major in biology and chemistry. She subsequently moved to Brisbane to complete a Postgraduate Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). Following her intern year at Ipswich Hospital, she returned to Newcastle. She completed her formal training in General Practice and graduated as a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practice (FRACGP). Her post graduate studies have allowed her to pursue an area of interest in skin cancer surgery obtaining a certificate in skin cancer surgery and a certificate in advanced skin cancer surgery.
Dr Murray moved to Port Macquarie in 2010 with her husband Scott, and her two children, Connor and Matthew. Scott is a local business operator of Anscot Safety Solutions and Training. Both the boys attend St Joseph's Regional Colllege.
Outside of work Anne loves spending time with her family including her very energetic dog Misty. She enjoys time with her parents at their property at Rollands Plains. A photo of which is featured in our main reception area. She enjoys cooking and photography. Slowly she is increasing her time at the beach as her boys develop their love of surfing.
Dr Amitee Ryan
Originally from QLD, Dr Ryan moved to Sydney to start her medical degree at the University of New South Wales. She moved to Port Macquarie to complete her studies at the Rural Clinical School in 2013. Following graduation, she completed her internship and residency at Port Macquarie Base Hospital completing an array of terms ideal for general practice such as Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Palliative Care, Medicine, Surgery and Emergency. She continued her training at PMBH in 2019 as part of the Paediatric team gaining further experience in acute and chronic Paediatrics as well as Neonatology. She also studied and completed the Sydney Children Health Programme and Advanced Paediatric Life Support course and is currently undertaking her Masters of Internal Medicine, University of Sydney.
Dr Ryan has joined the Focus Medical Team as part of her training program for speciality in General Practice. Dr Ryan is a country girl at heart and it is her aim to become a Rural Generalist GP and has a special interest in Paediatrics and children's health
In her down time, Dr Ryan likes bush walking, camping, cooking/baking, fishing and spending time with friends and family. She has a love of all things music, theatre and movies! One of her favourite movies is Errol Flynn's Captain Blood, favourite musical is Mary Poppins and favourite artists is Van Morrison.

Diane (practice nurse)
Dianne was born and grew up on the mid north coast, She has lived in Sydney, Gosford and Grafton. She moved to Port Macquarie in 1997 with her husband and two children.
She studied nursing in Port Macquarie and graduated in 2014.
Outside of work she loves to travel, read, listen to music and enjoys walking along Port’s glorious beach paths.
Sue (practice manager)
I moved to Port Macquarie from Sydney in 2004. My parents had retired in Wauchope and I loved the lifestyle. I moved to Wauchope 5 years ago and live there still with my family of pets.
I enjoy volunteering at the Koala Hospital and I am an active member of Orrca, Fawna and the Port Macquarie Dog club.
I guess you can tell that I love animals and being able to help when they are sick or injured. I am also a member of the Port Macquarie Women’s Shed, and enjoy working with stained glass.
I am very happy to have joined the team at Focus Medical Centre.
